If you're a customer of Verizon Business Networks Services, there's a good chance that Uncle Sam knows who you've been calling.
A highly classified court order disclosed Wednesday night reveals that the Obama administration has been secretly collecting records from the Verizon subsidiary "on an ongoing daily basis."
Under a court order signed in April, the company has been turning over -- to the National Security Agency -- all call logs "between the United States and abroad" or "wholly within the United States, including local telephone calls."
It's unclear of other parts of Verizon, such as residential and cell phone services, and other carriers have received similar orders. Representatives from Verizon and AT&T declined to comment. The order reportedly prohibits recipients from discussing its existence.
The FBI and the White House also declined to comment, but didn't deny it exists.
