Earlier this week, we heard a statistic about how four out of five women LIE to their boyfriend or husband.  Obviously, lying is bad news for a relationship.  But here are five other habits that ALSO ruin relationships . . .

1.  Criticizing Their Family.  If you don't get along with someone's family, it doesn't have to be a dealbreaker.  But constantly REMINDING them isn't going to help.  Even if THEY think their relatives are crazy, no one likes to hear their family being bad-mouthed.

2.  Spying.  If you're keeping constant surveillance on their Facebook, Twitter, or email . . . STOP.  Obviously it's creepy, but you're also likely to overanalyze things and do more harm than good.  Although if you're already at this point, your relationship may already be ruined.

3.  Letting Yourself Go.  It's bad for your health and overall well-being, and it sends a bad message to your partner . . . like, if you stop caring about yourself, you might have stopped caring about THEM, too.

4.  Fighting In Public.  It's natural to have the occasional argument, but fights that regularly spill out into the open are embarrassing, and rude to the people around you.

5.  Allowing Problems To Fester.  On the flip-side, biting your tongue and allowing problems to fester is just as bad fighting every chance you get.  Basically, good communication is the most important part of a successful relationship.

A deer crashed through the windshield of a bus in Johnston, Pennsylvania on Tuesday.  (About 60 miles east of Pittsburgh.)  And the whole ordeal was caught by the bus's surveillance camera.

The deer immediately got up and tried to jump back THROUGH the windshield, but couldn't.  So it stumbled around until the driver managed to stop and open the door.  Then it ran off and seemed uninjured, which is crazy when you see how hard it got hit.

A weatherman in Houston named David Paul had to do his report while battling the HICCUPS on Monday.  It was a three-minute segment, and he hiccupped every 10 to 15 seconds.

A lot of single people think bars are the best place to meet someone.  But the reality is, they're mostly filled with annoying drunk people.

So before the weekend hits and you BECOME one of those people, here are the top five places that are better than bars for meeting someone.

1.  The Gym.  The key is to talk to someone while they're in BETWEEN exercises.  If you start hitting on them while they're running, or in the middle of a set, your chances go way down.

And if you're a guy, don't go up to a woman and comment on how toned one of her body parts is.  It won't sound flattering, you'll just come off like a creeper.

2.  Concerts.  People at concerts are already in a friendly mood, and it's easy to start a conversation:  All you have to do is talk about the band.  It also helps that everyone's a little buzzed and relaxed.  It's like a bar without the pressure to meet someone.

3.  Volunteering.  The fact you're volunteering in the first place shows you're passionate about something, which is pretty much universally attractive.  And since THEY'RE passionate about the same thing, there's a chance you'll have some chemistry.

4.  Any Kind of Team Event.  As in, go join a kickball league or an Ultimate Frisbee team.  It doesn't matter what it is, just as long as it involves a large group of people.

A student at DePaul University in Chicago named Kristina Campagna deleted her Facebook page over a year ago, and hasn't gone back.  And apparently that's such an amazing feat, "USA Today" asked her to write an article about it.

--Here are the top three things she says she's learned since quitting Facebook.

#1.)  Some of the Information People Post Is Actually Valuable.  Most of it isn't, but a lot of people use Facebook to discuss news, politics, and pop culture.  So if you quit, you either fall behind on it, or actually have to seek it out yourself.

#2.)  When You're Not on Facebook, You're More Mysterious.  As in, people can't reach for their phone and check out bikini photos as soon as they meet you.

--Although, you're ALSO more mysterious to potential EMPLOYERS, which ISN'T good.  Because these days, a lot of hiring managers assume you're old and/or crazy if you're not on Facebook.

#3.)  Not Everyone Knows When Your Birthday Is.  So when someone SAYS "happy birthday," it actually means something . . . because it's not just an old high school friend who happened to see a birthday alert. 

When you're job-searching, it's okay to cast a wide net.  You just don't want to waste time applying for jobs you'll never get, or wouldn't realistically WANT.  Here are the top three signs the job you're applying for isn't worth the effort.

#1.)  You're Way Underqualified.  If you're close, then go for it.  But if you're missing any key skills, or you only have three years experience and they want EIGHT, you probably shouldn't bother.

#2.)  You Have to Convince Yourself You Want the Job.  A lot of people have done this:  You see a job that clearly says you'll have to work weekends . . . or you'll have to relocate . . . or whatever.

--And even though you WOULDN'T actually be willing to do those things, you apply for it anyway, because you like SOME aspects of the job description, and you're desperate.

--But in the end, if you're not willing to meet ALL of the requirements . . . especially big ones like relocating . . . it's not the right job.  And if you end up getting an interview or an offer, it'll just be a waste of everyone's time.

#3.)  You Think It Might Be a Scam.  The first clue that a job listing isn't legit is when it sounds too good to be true.  And the next clue is when it's missing a lot of key information . . . like a company name, or a link to a website.

--You especially have to be careful when you're looking at jobs on Craigslist.  If there's ever any doubt, just Google some of the text from the job posting.  And if it's a scam, chances are other people are onto it.  (Forbes)
