Thanks for checking out my page! I promise to update it as often as I can. With a little baby girl... it won't be as often as I like... But I'll do my best! -Pinky Swear.
Hi! I'm Jana. And I feel like I am just starting to figure this "life" thing out. As a mother of a one year old girl my world has changed. I still love finding great deals, enjoying wonderful restuarants, and catching a fun happy hour with friends…but I'd skip it all for a smooch & snugglefest with my little lady!
I love an intense film, crave music, and recently (and finally) got back to running. Here's hoping these Mommy lbs melt away.
I work and play a little too much. I'm flawed and BLESSED. No doubt about it.
But yes, in my life before becoming a Mom, I have travelled and lived in many places. I am a southern girl by birth and in my heart. Originally from Alabama I have lived in VA, NC, GA, MO, KS, IN, TN, SC, and FL. I married a Michigan man... GO BLUE! I went to UNC...GO HEELS! And grew up all Bama... ROLL TIDE! I'm SEC football, ACC basketball... and always prefer College sports to Pro Sports. And I know enough about them all to be dangerous.
I am plugged into pop culture like a champ! Whether its celebrity gossip, hot trends in fashion and make up, or current events...I'm your girl. Oh, and I'm a total wine-o! I love a great wine list.
A couple of tips for a better work place "vibe."
1. Reduce your EMFS. EMFS are Electromagnetic Frequencies and they DO effect your body. EMFS lower melatonin, a hormone that controls your mood and ability to sleep. Think about this... is your computer tower just under your desk, right by your leg? This is TOO CLOSE. Do what you can to move all electronics away from you.
2. Don't sit in the LINE OF FIRE. Do you face directly out of your office door? Change that if you can... The energy from the office is coming right at you. If you can sit off center or with your back to a wall, this is best. If not... put something like a picture by your screen so that it gets most of your attention. You can also hang a mirror by the doorway so you actually see what is behind you... and not directly out the door.
Hey... you never know. Try these tips. They just may work.
Ah yes... vacation. That little slice of heaven that never goes as planned. From the first day we left port...our little princess has been sick. Fever, tummy, nose, cough, sore throat... all of it. Poor thing.
But I can say she is finally on the mend and everyone of the ship has been incredible to us. They really go out of your way to make sure you have everything you need and that you are as comfortable as you can be.
Side note: I have definitley had a chance to rest since I've spent the last 4 days in bed with my sweet little baby.
I'm going to head off for a few days. Just a little vacation time. I'll be back with you on Monday. Bon Voyage!
And my husband wonders why I dont want a dog...
Meet your new morning BFF food! When you think of breakfast is it all eggs and bacon? Well, meet the Sweet Potato!
High in resistant starch (not carbs) reduces hunger by preventing blood sugar spikes. So check out this recipe:
Bake Sweet Potatoes until soft, then mash with warm almond milk... add in some cinnamon. YUM!
Well, its that time of year... FLU SHOT TIME.
Do you get your shot each year? We do. Especially with a 2 year old in the house and working in radio. If one person gets sick... we all get sick.
Did you know that October is the best time to get your shot? You can get that fact and many more by CLICKING HERE.
Ready to make a change? Red, Blonde, brown, black... the beauty of hair color is you can change it up when you like. But which home hair dye is best for you hair type?
According to Cosmopolitian Magazine:
For thin hair go with foam.
For thick hair go with creme.
Normal hair should use liquid.
